LASER ALEXANDRITE

LASER ALEXANDRITE

The renewed version of the safest and most effective system Laser Alexandrite makes it even safer, faster and more painless. Now hair removal is easier, with long-lasting definitive results and leaves you with a soft and velvety skin.
HOW DOES THE LASER ALEXANDRITE WORK?
It is a new-generation of medical Laser type Alexandrite that produces high-energy pulses. It emits a beam of light that is absorbed by the melanin of the hair follicle, leaving the surrounding area of the skin unaffected.
Using the method of selective photothermolysis, the energy from the Laser Alexandrite targets the melanin-containing cells of the hair and, at a wavelength of 755 nm, is selectively absorbed to the maximum extent by melanin, the pigment that gives hair its colour.
The subsequent increase in temperature in the hair follicles results in the destruction of the cells responsible for their re-growth, without damaging the epidermis and the surrounding tissue.
The result is a clean skin without hair, and without the fear of folliculitis
The new-generation laser is used for a range of aesthetic applications, such as permanent reduction of unwanted hair growth, treatment of age spots and spider veins.
During the treatment, the skin is protected by a dynamic cooling mechanism, whereby a cooling agent (cryogen, approved by the U.S. FDA / CE mark) is sprayed onto the skin, cooling its upper layers.
The mechanism protects the skin and provides local anesthesia, making the treatment effective, safe and painless.
The system has approval for permanent results in hair removal. In addition, it is certified for use on vascular, age spots and fine wrinkles by the Food Drug Administration of America.(FDA).
IS IT PAINFUL TO APPLY?
Most patients feel momentary stings, the intensity of which depends on the density, colour and diameter of the hairs and the skin’s phototype. However, as the number of sessions progresses and the hairiness decreases, the sessions become practically painless.
There is no recovery time.
You can return to your daily activities immediately after the session.
WHAT NUMBER OF SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED?
The number of sessions required depends on the area, the quality of the hair and some secondary factors that affect the normal hair growth cycle, such as age, hormones, medication, hereditary predisposition and certain pathological conditions. Usually, 6 to 12 sessions are needed in a normal hair growth.
HOW LONG IS EACH SESSION?
It depends on the area and the density of the hair.
WHAT SHOULD I BE AWARE OF BEFORE THE TREATMENT?
If necessary, a clipper or razor is used in the area where the laser will be applied 3 days before the treatment. It is recommended that at least 23 days have elapsed since the application of depilatory cream or wax. It is also recommended that any other medication that causes photosensitivity to the skin has been stopped. Avoid sunbathing four days before the laser application. There should be no irritation in the area where the laser will be applied. When the skin is tanned from sunbathing or tanning beds, it is advisable to avoid the Laser Alexandrite, while we can apply the Laser Diode which is suitable for tanned skin.
