WHAT MATERIAL ARE THREADS MADE OF?
The Yarns are made of PDO (Polydioxanone). The PDO is a very well studied material and has been used and used in surgery for many years for suturing wounds.They are absorbed – dissolved from the body by hydrolytic process, in a very predictable rate and manner. During this process the body produces collagen around the material with the end result being the disappearance of the material and its ‘replacement’ by collagen fibres in a specific arrangement.
HOW IS PDO THREADING DONE?
Their placement is done with the use of special very thin hollow needles. Each needle carries a thread and by simply inserting it into the skin and removing it, the thread stays in the predetermined position.
IN WHICH CASES IS LIFTING WITH PDO THREADS SUGGESTED?
The application is suitable mainly for people aged 30 years and above, but also for patients whose skin needs support and tightening. The older the age, the denser the mesh needs to be in order to create the right collagen infrastructure.
WHERE ON THE BODY ARE THE PDO THREADS PLACED?
It is applied for tightening and lifting on the face (oval, nasolabial, cheekbones, goose leg, forehead), neck, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, arms, back and chest.
WHAT ARE THE VISIBLE RESULTS AND HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
The usual results are the 70% elimination of nasolabial folds and the fall of the cheeks, with a clear improvement of the oval of the face.
In other areas of the body, the application gives immediate tightening results, which improve day by day until the completion of the third month, when the image is stabilized for about 18 months. Then the placement of additional threads is reconsidered to maintain the result (18-24 months).

There are no complications apart from very rare local irritations of a mild form.
